National Day of Prayer

for the African American and African Family 2016

 

As we prepare to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Mercy we are grateful to God
to present to you the
27th Annual National Day of Prayer for the
African American and African Family 2016.
Celebrated on the first Sunday of Black History Month February 7, 2016.

 

Our theme is GOD'S MERCY PULLS US THROUGH

"This is the heart of the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy declared by
Pope Francis.
The Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy will be a major event in the 
Catholic Church, held from the Feast of the Immaculate Conception
 (December 8), 2015 to the 
Feast of Christ the King
 (November 20), 2016.

 

We will use social media to send resources and start a conversation as we move toward celebrating the
27th Annual National Day of Prayer.

The National Black Catholic Apostolate for Life was inaugurated in the fall of 1997, with the
National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus and the Franciscan Solid Ground Ministry as sponsors
