2013 National Black Catholic Vigil for Life

October 5, 2013

16th Annual National Black Catholic Vigil for Life 2013

Saturday October 5, 2013 (First Saturday) marks the 16th year that the
National Black Catholic Apostolate for Life has sponsored the “National Black Catholic Vigil for Life” on the eve of Respect Life Sunday. The Vigil for Life affords us as African American and African Catholics an opportunity to gather in our various Archdioceses/Dioceses/Neighborhoods to pray for
an end to abortion and all acts of violence that destroy the dignity of human life.
"The National Black Catholic Vigil for Life is also our prayer-preparation time for the
Eucharistic Sacrifice on Respect Life Sunday," stated Father James E. Goode, OFM,
President of the National Black Catholic Apostolate for Life.

Archdiocese of New York
