This health campaign is an excellent way for us to take charge of our health/life and the reach out and encourage family members, neighbor, church members, friends and others to take charge of their health/life by visiting or making an appointment to see a health professional. In previous years this campaign was known as “Take A Love One to the Doctor Day.  Last year the project was launched with a new name
“Take a Loved One for a Checkup Day”.

This was done “to emphasize the importance of preventive screenings and to acknowledge all health professionals involved in keeping communities healthy whether they be doctors, nurses, dentists, physicians assistants, or other health providers”.

Black Catholics share the message and together let’s “Choose Life – Help others to Choose Life”. For more information contact the
National Black Catholic Apostolate for Life www.blackcatholicsforlife.org or contact the USCCB: Secretariat for African American Catholics at www.nccbuscc.org/saac
